چکیده
Background To determine the usefulness of enhanced rate gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid–enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (EOB-MRI) during hepatobiliary phase as a new parameter for hepatic functional reserve. Aim We retrospectively analyzed 153 patients who underwent EOB-MRI before radiofrequency ablation or resection between January 2008 and December 2012. The was estimated using ratio regions interest in liver parenchyma to that paraspinal muscles. examined along with function tests fibrosis levels any correlations. Results A high correlation found indocyanine green retention at 15 minutes (r = −0.66, P < 0.0001). Additionally, moderate discovered serum albumin 0.57, 0.0001), level −0.48, also weakly correlated platelet count 0.28, 0.0005), aspartate aminotransferase −0.37, total bilirubin −0.26, 0.0014), prothrombin activity 0.27, 0.0014). Conclusions EOB-MRI–enhanced strongly correlates

Consensus Report of the 4th International Forum for Gadolinium-Ethoxybenzyl-Diethylenetriamine Pentaacetic Acid Magnetic Resonance Imaging
This paper reports on issues relating to the optimal use of gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid magnetic resonance imaging (Gd-EOB-DTPA MR imaging) together with the generation of consensus statements from a working group meeting, which was held in Seoul, Korea (2010). Gd-EOB-DTPA has been shown to improve the detection and characterization of liver lesions, and the info...
متن کاملContrast uptake in primary hepatic angiosarcoma on gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in the hepatobiliary phase
Primary hepatic angiosarcoma is the most common malignant mesenchymal tumor of the liver. It has a poor prognosis and various appearances on magnetic resonance (MR) images. We report a case of hepatic angiosarcoma with a characteristic appearance on gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced MR imaging in the hepatobiliary phase. A 72-year-old man was adm...
متن کاملDynamic-contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of cirrhotic liver parenchyma: A comparison between gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid and gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid.
BACKGROUND The newly developed magnetic-resonance-imaging (MRI) hepatocyte-specific contrast agent, gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA), has different excretion pathways from the conventional MRI contrast agent, gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA). In this study, we compare the enhancement effect of the liver and renal parenchyma betwee...

The present study aimed to evaluate regional liver function impairment following transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE), assessed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enhanced by gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA). Additionally, this study evaluated the associations between signal intensity and various clinical factors. A prospective study was cond...
